'Coull' Winner of the Inaugural Annual Jeanette Burriss Bursary

June Morgan was declared the first ever winner of the Jeanette Burriss Bursary for 2004/ 2005 at a presentation in the Thomas Nelson Suite at the Prestoungrange Gothenburg, July 12th. Sister to famous local artist Willie Coull, and painting under the family name as 'June Coull', she had never picked up a paintbrush until she was 59 and joined the Arts Festival Workshops in 2002 led by Andrew Crummy.

The occasion saw Burriss family members at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg and a one day exhibition of some of her paintings which were greatly enjoyed.
